Find
QualityScan allows you to have the repair quality of injectors and injection pumps confirmed by Bosch quickly and easily. The database contains only components that have passed the strict quality control according to Bosch specifications.
You will be shown a clear overview of the component data such as:
- Repair ID
- Repair date
- IMA code
- Contact details of the authorised diesel specialist performing the work
Scan
The database can be searched for the injection component by scanning the DataMatrix code.
The DataMatrix code is a 2D code containing the repair ID and is printed on repair ID labels and repair ID clips.
What is the best way to scan?
- Hold the DataMatrix code 10 to 15 cm in front of the camera on the back of your smart phone.
- Align the DataMatrix code in the middle and parallel to the scanning field (screen marker).
- Repair ID labels: Turn off the smartphone light.
- Repair ID clips: Turn on the smartphone light.
Why is the code not recognized?
- QualityScan exclusively supports DataMatrix codes.
- The DataMatrix code does not contain a repair ID.
- Poor lighting. The contrast with the DataMatrix code to be scanned is insufficient.
- The background is too dark or too light.
- Too much reflection. To avoid reflection, hold the camera at a slight angle relative to the object to be scanned, and cover highly reflective surfaces with a finger if necessary.
- The quality of the cameras of some older smartphones prevents them from successfully scanning DataMatrix codes.
Repair ID
The database can be searched for the injection component by entering the repair ID.
The repair ID (repair Identification Number) clearly identifies repaired Bosch injection components and is stated on the repair ID labels and repair ID clips. The 10-digit repair ID consists of upper-case letters (without specific characters such as 'Umlauts') and/or digits from 2 to 7.
Component
The database can be searched for the injection component by entering type-part number, serial number or date of production.
Type-part number, date of production and serial number are located on the plastic collar on the top end of Bosch common-rail injectors (CRI/CRIN) and on the type label of Bosch common-rail pumps (CP):
- Type-part number: 10-digit number starting with 0 445 (some CRIN do not have these numbers)
- Date of production: such as a 5 or 6-digit number (sometimes hyphenated)
- Serial number: such as a 4-digit number
- The description applies to most Bosch injection components. On some Bosch injection components this information is presented differently.
