The Stacks page is made up of two parts. The top part is a button to navigate to the Memorized decks page.
The lower two buttons allow you to Export/Import a stack from an XML file.
Memorized Decks
This page lists all the available stacks currently stored in the database. You can either edit a stack by tapping on its name, or create a new one by tapping on *New Stack*.
Create New Stack
You must, at the very least, fill in the name of your new stack. Its name must be unique and is not case sensitive. Tap on Save to save your stack name and then tap Stack to add cards to it. Alternatively, tapping Stack will save it and take you to the Stack Details page as well.
Adding Cards to New Stack
Tap the cards on the left to add them to your new stack. Every card tapped on will appear on the right hand side of the screen as part of your new stack. The cards added on the right hand side may be moved up and down their column by using a long tap and moving them vertically in either direction. Alternatively, tapping a card that has been added will put it back into the card pool on the left side of the screen.
Save New Stack
Once all the the cards have been added, a Save button will appear at the bottom of the screen. Long tap it to save your changes. You'll be prompted for confirmation.
Modify Stack
If your stack was successfully saved to the database, the display will change to the image below. You can further edit your new stack by long tapping a card and moving it vertically.
Add Hints
You may key in a short hint for each card by first tapping the top right-hand side toggle button Cards, which will then allow you to enter them.
Long tap the Save button at the bottom of the screen to save your data.
You can Export a stack to an XML file by tapping on the Export Stack button, but first select the stack you want to export by tapping the spinner.
Your device Download folder will open. You can then save your stack in an XML file. If such a file already exists, you will be prompted to whether overwrite it or not.
You may upload the XML to your desktop and edit it using an XML tool. If you do not have any, I suggest you download Microsoft excellent XML Notepad which is free, light weight and very intuitive.
You can then import a stack into MemDeckPro. If the stack name already exists, you'll be prompted before importing it back, and if you go ahead, it will be updated with the data from the XML file. If not, a new stack will be created.
